Title: AN ACT TO SET THE SALARIES OF THE ACADEMIC FACULTY OF THE MISSISSIPPI PUBLIC COMMUNITY AND JUNIOR COLLEGES AT THE MIDPOINT BETWEEN THE AVERAGE SALARIES OF THE PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS' TEACHING OR INSTRUCTIONAL PERSONNEL AND THE SALARIES OF THE ACADEMIC FACULTY OF THE STATE'S PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER LEARNING OR ALTERNATIVELY, TO PROVIDE THE ACADEMIC FACULTY A $3,000.00 SALARY INCREASE; TO REQUIRE THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF EACH COMMUNITY OR JUNIOR COLLEGE TO PROVIDE FOR THE SALARY INCREASE; TO PROVIDE THAT THE LEGISLATURE SHALL APPROPRIATE THE FUNDS NECESSARY FOR THE SALARY INCREASES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
