AMENDMENT NO 1 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

     AMEND below line 83 by inserting the following as a subsection and renumbering the subsequent subsections:

     (4)  In the case of an infant or child who dies suddenly and unexpectedly, including cases of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), sudden unexpected infant death (SUID) or sudden death in the young (SDY), the review panel shall perform a review of the infant's or child's immunization and medical records to analyze any immunizations and emergency countermeasures administered to the infant or child within ninety (90) days before the infant's or child's death.  The review panel shall verify that cases of sudden and unexpected death of an infant or child were reported to the SUID and SDY Case Registry and that any adverse vaccine reactions were reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), and shall report to the SUID and SDY Case Registry or to VAERS any such cases or adverse vaccine reactions that were not previously reported.  The review panel shall include such information in the annual report described in subsection (3) of this section.

FURTHER, AMEND the title to conform.
