A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND COMMENDING THE TAMMIE NICHOLS TV SHOW AS THE PROGRAM CELEBRATES 15 YEARS OF TELEVISION MINISTRY AND COMMUNITY IMPACT.
WHEREAS, on Friday, December 12, 2025, The Tammie Nichols TV Show celebrated "15 Years of TV Ministry," honoring a significant milestone of faith and perseverance for the purpose-driven program; and
WHEREAS, after enduring the unimaginable pain of losing her two precious sons to Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), Tammie Nichols reached a place where grief and purpose collided, and in December 2010, she took a bold step of faith and returned home to Mississippi to launch a talk show called Woman II Woman with Tammie Tubbs, which later became The Tammie Nichols TV Show; and
WHEREAS, Tammie has used television as a pulpit - not for recognition or fame, but to reach the brokenhearted, the weary mother, the silent survivor, and anyone who has cried themselves to sleep wondering if God still saw them - and as the show's Founder, Executive Producer and Host, Tammie has used the power of testimony and transparent conversation to show viewers that pain can produce purpose and that healing is possible through faith in Jesus Christ; and
WHEREAS, transforming circumstances meant to break her into the very thing God used to build her, the Lord pulled Tammie out of a deep place of sorrow and birthed a ministry, and The Tammie Nichols TV Show continues to thrive after 15 years of continuous broadcast, uplifting viewers through impactful testimonies and inspirational messages designed to heal hearts and transform lives; and
WHEREAS, over the past decade and a half, this platform has shared more than a thousand interviews featuring faith leaders, educators, authors, community advocates and everyday heroes; provided spiritual encouragement and practical wisdom to families across the state; and modeled perseverance, faith and purpose through adversity; and
WHEREAS, in addition to its ministry impact, The Tammie Nichols TV Show holds a historic place in Mississippi's media landscape, showcasing the first African-American woman in the state to serve as both Executive Producer and Host of her own television show; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize Mississippi's impactful TV programs, especially those such as The Tammie Nichols TV Show, which stands as a beacon of faith, hope and empowerment throughout Mississippi and beyond, evidencing the vital role of positive, faith-based media in shaping the moral and cultural fabric of the great Magnolia State:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend The Tammie Nichols TV Show as the program celebrates 15 years of television ministry and community impact, and extend sincere wishes for many years of continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Tammie Nichols and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
