AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Senate Bill No. 3257

     Amend by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to contribute annually an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($10,500.00) in the aggregate, out of any available funds of the county, to the following 501(c)(3) charitable organizations operating food pantries:  Hearts and Hands, Feeding Hearts, and Davis Temple Church of the Living God.

     (2)  This section shall stand repealed from and after July 1, 2029.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

     Further, amend by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:

     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING FOOD PANTRIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
