Senate Bill 3279

AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO RANDALL LEE MCCULLOCH OF WINSTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Randall Lee McCulloch of Winston County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his convictions for larceny, carjacking, and embezzlement in 1986, 1989, and 1998 in Choctaw County, Mississippi, and Montgomery County, Mississippi.  He was convicted for four (4) counts of the crime of embezzlement, and on February 11, 1998, was sentenced to serve four (4) years concurrently for three (3) counts and to serve eight (8) years consecutively for one (1) count in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

     He was discharged on April 20, 2003, due to expiration of sentence.  He completed all terms and conditions of his sentence.  The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2025.
