AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF KEMPER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS TO PHILADELPHIA TRANSIT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Kemper County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to make an annual contribution from the county's general fund in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to Philadelphia Transit, which is a nonprofit organization that provides transportation for the general public, elderly and disabled citizens within Kemper County and surrounding areas.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2029.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
