     AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LAFAYETTE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO PROVIDE FUNDING TO THE OXFORD-LAFAYETTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $250,000.00 IN ANY FISCAL YEAR, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN THE COUNTY AND FOR ADMINISTRATIVE NEEDS OF THE FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Lafayette County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to provide funding, from any available funds of the county, to the Oxford-Lafayette Economic Development Foundation, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) in any fiscal year, for economic development projects in the county and for administrative needs of the foundation.

     (2)  This section shall stand repealed from and after July 1, 2028.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
