AN ACT TO CREATE NEW SECTION 23-15-563.1, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO ALLOW THE SECRETARY OF STATE TO PROMULGATE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR VOTER IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 23-15-563.1, Mississippi Code of 1972:
23-15-563.1. The Secretary of State may promulgate rules and regulations necessary to effectuate the provisions of Section 23-15-563, including, but not limited to, providing what constitutes current and valid voter identification.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
