AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SCENIC RIVERS DEVELOPMENT ALLIANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDING FOR FACILITY/PARK EQUIPMENT, PARKING/ROAD REPAIRS, BUILDING REPAIRS, SITE DEVELOPMENT, RIVER/LAKE ACCESS, EROSION CONTROL/REPAIRS, UTILITY REPAIRS, SEATING IMPROVEMENTS, AND OTHER FACILITY RELATED UPGRADES IN THE MEMBER COUNTIES OF THE ALLIANCE, AMITE, FRANKLIN, PIKE, WALTHALL AND WILKINSON COUNTIES, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1.  The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Scenic Rivers Development Alliance for the purpose of providing funding for facility/park equipment, parking/road repairs, building repairs, site development, river/lake access, erosion control/repairs, utility repairs, seating improvements, and other facility related upgrades in the member counties of the alliance, Amite, Franklin, Pike, Walthall and Wilkinson Counties, as provided in Section 2 of this act, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025....................................... $  2,975,000.00.

     SECTION 2.  The money appropriated in Section 1 of this act shall be expended by the alliance for the following projects:

          (a)  Amite County:  Ethel Vance Park, Liberty Town Fields and historical/tourism sites;

          (b)  Franklin County:  Town Park, Scenic Rivers Welcome Center and Okhissa Lake Park;

          (c)  Pike County:  Bogue Chitto Water Park, Gibson Road Natural Area and historical/tourism sites;

          (d)  Walthall County:  Lake Walthall, Walthall County Outdoors Complex and Walker's Bridge Park; and

          (e)  Wilkinson County:  Lake Mary and Fosters Lake access and ramps, Indian mound sites, Wilkinson County Park and Percy Creek sites.

     SECTION 3.  The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2024.
