AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO DESIGNATE AND ALLOCATE COUNTY TAX REVENUE GENERATED BY SPORTS GAMING TO THE TUNICA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSES OF FINANCING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW SCHOOL FACILITY WITHIN THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, in its discretion, is authorized and empowered to designate and allocate the portion of county tax revenues generated from sports gaming in the county to the Tunica County School District for the purpose of financing the construction of a new school facility within Tunica County.  Such designation and allocation shall be limited solely to county funds and shall have no effect on the designation or allocation of other funds collected by the county pursuant to any other statute.

          (2)  This section shall stand repealed from and after July 1, 2027.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
