AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO LINCOLN COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE COSTS OF CERTAIN CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2024.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1.  The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to Lincoln County for the purpose of defraying the costs of certain capital projects for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023, and ending

June 30, 2024................................... $ 62,220,628.00.

     SECTION 2.  Of the funds appropriated under the provisions of Section 1 of this act, the following amounts are to be allocated as follows:

     Building Projects:

HVAC system at the Courthouse........... $    500,000.00

Jail renovations....................... $  1,000,000.00

E911 relocate.......................... $    500,000.00

Courthouse renovations................. $    750,000.00

     Bridge Projects:

Opelousas Timber Bridge................ $    650,000.00

Bethel Road Bridge/Mt. Olive Road....... $  1,350,000.00

Timber Bridges Across County............ $ 28,000,000.00

     Road Projects:

China Grove Road....................... $  1,208,023.00

Jackson Liberty Road................... $  2,500,000.00

Auburn Road to Chip Mill................ $  1,554,688.00

Fern Lane.............................. $  1,014,338.00

West Industrial Park................... $  1,554,338.00

Heucks Retreat and Lake Lincoln Road.... $  1,489,241.00

Paving State Aid Roads................. $ 20,000,000.00

Hamlet of Bogue Chitto Project.............. $    150,000.00

     SECTION 3.  The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 4.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2023.
