AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF VICKSBURG, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO AND PROVIDE IN-KIND SERVICES FOR MAINTENANCE TO THE BEULAH CEMETERY; TO PROVIDE THAT COMMUNITY SERVICE OR INMATE LABOR MAY BE USED FOR SUCH MAINTENANCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Chapter 938, Local and Private Laws of 2017, is reenacted and amended as follows:
Section 1. (1) The governing authorities of the City of Vicksburg, Mississippi, in their discretion, may contribute funds to, and provide in-kind services for maintenance to the Beulah Cemetery. The maintenance provided for in this section may be performed by the use of community service or inmate labor, or both.
(2) This section shall be
repealed from and after July 1, * * * 2027.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
