AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO MARY GREEN OF HINDS COUNTY.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Mary Green of Hinds County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector on October 2, 1984, in Hinds County on the charge of manslaughter, for which she was sentenced to serve a term of twenty (20) years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with ten (10) years suspended on five (5) years supervised probation.

     On May 20, 1987, Mary Green was paroled from the Mississippi Department of Corrections to Hinds County.  She was discharged on April 26, 1992.

     The Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
