House Resolution 22

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE BOLTON-EDWARDS ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL RANGERS BOYS AND GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAMS UPON WINNING THE 2021-2022 CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DIVISION.

WHEREAS, the Bolton-Edwards Elementary/Middle School Rangers Boys and Girls Basketball Teams, a skillfully dynamic group of seventh and eighth graders, have been crowned champions of the 2021-2022 Central Mississippi Athletic Conference Division; and

WHEREAS, the Rangers were superbly coached and inspired by Coach Jason Claxton and Coach Kendall Flowers, who have broadened the players' knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution; and

WHEREAS, members of the talented Bolton-Edwards Elementary/Middle School Rangers Girls Basketball Team include the following: Angelica Smith, Jazzarria Barnett, Asia Burks, Ty'Mara Kidd, Kaylenn Mosley, Zian Thomas, Tynekia Mack, Jennifer Wallace, Samaiya Wilson and manager Shamaya Sledge; and

WHEREAS, members of the equally as talented Bolton-Edwards Elementary/Middle School Rangers Boys Basketball Team include the following: Miles Norman, Tanari Stewart, Kenneth Turner, Jarrett Jackson, Courtlon Warden, Cortez Thomas, Jacari Denson, Landon Shelby, Shedarius Collins, Keidrein Miller, Andreas Marshall, Aavery Payne and manager Jayden Hodge; and

WHEREAS, the boys and girls Rangers have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of sportsmanship, and their activities and attitude reflect great credit upon the individual players and their coaches as well as Principal Lashurn Williams and Assistant Principal/Athletic Director George Jones, III, and bring overall honor to Bolton-Edwards Elementary/Middle School; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the young people of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Bolton-Edwards Elementary/Middle School (BEEMS) Rangers Boys and Girls Basketball Teams for their outstanding season, for winning the Central Mississippi Athletic Conference Division 2021-2022 Championship and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors all while causing their school to "beem" with pride.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Bolton-Edwards Elementary/Middle School, Coaches Jason Claxton and Kendall Flowers and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
