AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO MR. KENNETH PRITCHARD OF RANKIN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Mr. Kenneth Pritchard of Rankin County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of his conviction for the crime of uttering forgery, in Hinds County, Mississippi, for which he was sentenced on October 29, 2007, to serve five (5) years suspended in the Mississippi Department of Corrections and five (5) years supervised probation.  He was convicted for the crime of vehicle theft on August 21, 2009, for which he was sentenced to time served, and three (3) years of supervised probation.  Probation for both convictions was revoked on September 10, 2009, as a result of his conviction for the crime of uttering forgery in Hinds County, Mississippi, for which he was sentenced to term served followed by three (3) years probation.  On July 20, 2011, Mr. Pritchard's sentence was revoked as a result of his conviction for the crime of vehicle theft in Hinds County, for which he was sentenced to serve one (1) year and one (1) day in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

     He completed all terms and conditions of his sentence and was discharged on January 10, 2012.  The Legislature is informed that he has since conducted himself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
