AN ACT TO REQUIRE RATE-REGULATED NATURAL GAS PUBLIC UTILITIES TO PROVIDE THE MISSISSIPPI PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION WITH PERIODIC BUDGETING AND ACCOUNTING STATEMENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. All rate-regulated natural gas public utilities with certificated service areas in Mississippi shall provide the Mississippi Public Service Commission with periodic budgeting and accounting statements. The commission may adopt rules and regulations necessary to implement and enforce this section.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2021.
