A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING MR. RUSTY BERRYHILL, THE PRESIDENT OF KEVIN CHARLES FINE UPHOLSTERY IN NEW ALBANY, MISSISSIPPI, UPON BEING NAMED THE 2019-2020 CHAIRMAN OF THE MISSISSIPPI MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (MMA) BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

     WHEREAS, Rusty Berryhill, the President of Kevin Charles Fine Upholstery in New Albany, Mississippi, has been named the 2019-2020 Chairman of the Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA) Board of Directors; and

     WHEREAS, after completing school at Itawamba Junior College, Mr. Berryhill began his career in the furniture industry at Action Lane, where his expertise and attention to detail helped facilitate his quick rise to management, and throughout his notable career, he held positions as quality control manager, plant manager, director of manufacturing and vice president of manufacturing with companies such as Canadian-based Sklar-Pepplar, River Oaks, Ladd and La-Z-Boy before founding Kevin Charles Fine Upholstery; and

     WHEREAS, Kevin Charles Fine Upholstery was established in 2002 when Mr. Berryhill partnered with Keith Koenig of City Furniture, which is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and

     WHEREAS, the partnership between Mr. Berryhill and Mr. Koenig has been extremely successful, as Kevin Charles primarily supplies quality upholstered living room furniture to the numerous City Furniture stores located across southern Florida, and because of City Furniture's exponential growth, Kevin Charles Fine Upholstery is doubling the size of its New Albany manufacturing facility; and

     WHEREAS, Mr. Berryhill has served on the MMA Board since 2012 and was selected to serve on the MMA Executive Board in 2016, and his other civic engagements include serving on the North Mississippi Boys and Girls Club's Executive Board and the Union County Development Association Board; and

     WHEREAS, in his spare time, Mr. Berryhill enjoys spending time with his wife, Debbie McClellan Berryhill, his five children and four grandchildren; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend fine Mississippians such as Mr. Rusty Berryhill, whose manufacturing accolades and keen business sense bring glory and honor to the New Albany community and to the great State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Rusty Berryhill, the President of Kevin Charles Fine Upholstery in New Albany, Mississippi, upon being named the 2019-2020 Chairman of the Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA) Board of Directors and extend sincere wishes for continued success in all of his future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. Rusty Berryhill and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
