AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF FORREST COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO MAINTAIN IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT RATHER THAN PAPER FORMAT LAW BOOKS THAT ARE PLACED IN THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE AND THE PUBLIC COUNTY LAW LIBRARY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of Sections 19-7-25, 19-25-65, and 19-7-31, Mississippi Code of 1972, the Forrest County Board of Supervisors, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to maintain in electronic format rather than paper format law books as well as other required legal subscriptions that are maintained in the county courthouse and the public county law library.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
