AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT IF A COMMUNITY OR JUNIOR COLLEGE VISUALLY OR AUDIBLY PUBLICALLY ADVERTISES THAT THE COMMUNITY OR JUNIOR COLLEGE CAN PROVIDE A CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION COURSE, A WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING COURSE OR ANY TYPE OF SKILLS TRAINING, THAT COMMUNITY OR JUNIOR COLLEGE MUST INCLUDE IN ITS ADVERTISEMENT WHERE IT RECEIVED THE MONEY TO PROVIDE THE CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION COURSE, THE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING COURSE OR ANY TYPE OF SKILLS TRAINING; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  If a community or junior college visually or audibly publically advertises that the community or junior college can provide a career and technical education course, a workforce development training course or any type of skills training, that community or junior college must include in its advertisement where it received the money to provide the career and technical education course, the workforce development training course or any type of skills training.  Public advertisement through an electronic platform of a career and technical education course, a workforce development training course or any type of skills training that the community or junior college can provide shall be deemed to comply with the requirements of this section if the home page of the community or junior college provides the information required by this section, and each electronic publication provides a link to that home page.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
