AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

House Bill No. 1547

     AMEND by inserting the following new subparagraph (vi) after line 245:

              "(vi)  Hemp, meaning the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) concentration of not more than three-tenths of one percent (0.3%) on a dry weight basis.  This subparagraph (vi) shall be effective from and after the date that tetrahydrocannabinols in hemp as defined in this subparagraph have been excluded from Schedule I of the federal Controlled Substances Act."

AMEND FURTHER the title on line 4 by inserting the following after the word "USE": ", AND TO EXCLUDE HEMP FROM CONTROL UNDER SCHEDULE I"
