A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE GUNTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL "LADY TIGERS" CHEERLEADING SQUAD FOR WINNING THE LARGE JUNIOR HIGH DIVISION OF THE MHSAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

     WHEREAS, the Guntown Middle School Cheerleaders won the Large Junior High Division of the MHSAA State Cheerleading Championship on December 15, 2018.  The team is now headed to the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Nationals in Orlando, Florida, February 7-12, 2019; and

     WHEREAS, the team members are:  Addi Joshlin, Allie Burrow, Ava Joshlin, Emilee Warren, Allie Mitchell, Grace Padgett, Lauren Crain, Maddie Ellis, Kennedy Tedford, Kyler Curry, Karmyn Gibbs, Morgan Hamlin, Abby Martin, Olivia Rutledge, Anna Kate Payne, Megan Hardy, Brentlee Lindsey, Rhylee Treadwell, Sydney Mize, Anna Elizabeth Waite, Elyse McKissick, Cat Scruggs, Lauren Barnett, Mia Landers, Britin Bryant, Erin Morgan and Mariah Morgan; and Cheer Coach Deanna Gable; and

     WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we recognize this group of young Mississippi citizens who have brought honor to their school, their community and to the State of Mississippi:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Guntown Middle School "Lady Tigers" Cheerleading Squad for winning the Large Junior High Division of the MHSAA State Championship, and extend to the team, coaches, parents and sponsors our best wishes for future success.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Guntown Middle School Principal Casey Dye, forwarded to the Lee County Board of Education, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
