AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 81-1-69, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH PROVIDES THAT THE SALARIES OF THE COMMISSIONER OF BANKING AND CONSUMER FINANCE AND THE DEPUTY COMMISSIONER SHALL BE FIXED BY THE LEGISLATURE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 81-1-69, Mississippi Code of 1972, which provides that the salaries of the Commissioner of Banking and Consumer Finance and the deputy commissioner shall be fixed by the Legislature, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2019.
