AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Cmte Sub for House Bill No. 1479

     AMEND on line 297 by inserting the words "and amended" after the word "reenacted".

AMEND further on line 323 by inserting "(a)" after "(3)".

AMEND further  after line 336 by inserting the following new language:

"         (b)  Information in the Bail Bond Database shall not be the basis for restrictions on the amount of bonds a professional bail agent may have outstanding at any given time until such time that the information in the database is reliable and accurate, as certified by the commissioner.

(c)  Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (b) of this subsection (3), the Bail Bond Database shall be considered reliable and accurate when:

(i)  All of the criminal courts of this state have access to and participate in a unified court filing system that allows those courts to reliably access and accurately enter, correct or modify all necessary information into the Bail Bond Database; and

(ii)  Professional bail agents have access to verify and modify their individual information in the Bail Bond Database."
