A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING MRS. TIFFANY PARKS-STONE UPON BEING NAMED "MRS. MISSISSIPPI 2017," THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE TITLE HONOREE FROM TUPELO, MISSISSIPPI.
WHEREAS, on April 23, 2017, Mrs. Tiffany Parks-Stone, representing her home City of Tupelo, Mississippi, was crowned Mrs. Mississippi 2017, the second consecutive Mrs. Mississippi to represent Tupelo following Mrs. Ashley Buse in 2016; and
WHEREAS, holding the distinct honor of being titled Mrs. Mississippi 2017, she represented Mississippi at the Mrs. America Pageant in Las Vegas in October 2017; and
WHEREAS, Tiffany Parks-Stone was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Retail and Consumer Science, and she also completed her Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix; and
WHEREAS, she now makes her home in Tupelo, Mississippi, where she has lived for the past 14 years. Tiffany has been married to her wonderful husband, George, for 10 years, and together they have two sons, Matthew, five, and Adam, two; and
WHEREAS, Tiffany has been in the banking business for eight years and now works for BankPlus in Tupelo, Mississippi. She is a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church, where she is on the Preschool Committee, as well as serving in the Sunday School Nursery. Tiffany also volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club of Mississippi. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Nu Sigma Omega Chapter. In her spare time, Tiffany enjoys staying active by running and working out. She believes in making family time a priority, and as a family, the Stones enjoy eating at new restaurants, spending quality time together on weekends, and traveling; and
WHEREAS, BankPlus has been a wonderful corporate citizen and supporter of the Mrs. Mississippi Pageant, allowing Tiffany to travel and represent the state in her capacity as Unofficial Ambassador; and
WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we congratulate Tiffany for this high honor:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby recognize Mrs. Tiffany Parks-Stone upon being named "Mrs. Mississippi 2017," the second consecutive title honoree from Tupelo, Mississippi, and extend to her our best wishes for success as she competes and represents the State of Mississippi in the Mrs. America Pageant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Mrs. Tiffany Stone, forwarded to BankPlus in Tupelo, Mississippi, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
