AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF WARREN COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONSTRUCT OR ACQUIRE A COUNTY JAIL ON CERTAIN PROPERTY OUTSIDE THE CITY OF VICKSBURG; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 19-7-1, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any other provisions of law to the contrary, the Board of Supervisors of Warren County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to construct a county jail outside the City of Vicksburg but within one (1) mile of the city limits on property known as the Pinewood property, which is located on U.S. Highway 80 east of the intersection of Clay Street and Mississippi Highway 27.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
