AN ACT TO REPEAL SECTION 47-5-35, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, WHICH CREATES AND EMPOWERS THE POSITION OF AUDITOR OF THE CORRECTIONAL SYSTEM; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Section 47-5-35, Mississippi Code of 1972, which establishes the position of the Auditor for the Correctional System, and prescribes the position's duties, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2018.
