House Bill 1541

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PEARL RIVER BASIN DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING EXPENSES RELATING TO THE DISSOLUTION OF THE DISTRICT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1.  The following sum, or so much of it as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the Pearl River Basin Development District for the purpose of defraying expenses relating to the dissolution of the district, including, but not limited to, conveyances of real or personal property and performing any other tasks incident to the authority granted to the district in House Bill No. 593, 2018 Regular Session, for the period beginning upon the passage of this act and ending June 30, 2018 $ 50,000.00.

     SECTION 2.  The money appropriated by this act shall be paid by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, officer or officers in the manner provided by law.

     SECTION 3.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
