AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE TOMBIGBEE RIVER VALLEY WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT TO TRANSFER AND CONVEY CERTAIN PROPERTY TO THE MISSISSIPPI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSES OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AND/OR PORT PROJECTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Tombigbee River Valley Water Management District may transfer and convey to the Mississippi Development Authority all or any portion thereof of the property owned by the Tombigbee River Valley Water Management District and located near the Tombigbee Waterway.
(2) The transfer and conveyance authorized in subsection (1) of this section shall be for the purposes of industrial development and/or port projects upon approval of the Tombigbee River Valley Water Management District.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2018.
