AMENDMENT NO 1 TO COMMITTEE AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

Amend on line 62 by inserting the following after the end of the sentence:

The property transferred and conveyed under subsections (1) and (2) of this section shall only be used to make improvements to the Marion County Airport and to construct an adjacent industrial park or other aviation-related facility.

Further amend by striking the sentence on lines 87-91 and inserting the following in lieu thereof:

The State of Mississippi shall retain timber rights to any nonharvested timber remaining on the property described in subsections (1) and (2) of this section.  The revenue generated from the harvest and sale of the remaining timber shall be deposited into the State Treasury.
