AMENDMENT NO 1 TO AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO
Senate Bill No. 3015

AMEND by inserting the following new sections and renumbering the succeeding section:
"SECTION 15. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money to the credit of the Department of Public Safety, and allocated in a manner as determined by the Treasurer’s Office to defray the expenses of the Department of Public Safety for the period beginning upon passage and through fiscal year ending June 30, 2018......
............................................ $ 1,725,000.00.
This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of a Highway Patrol Trooper School.
SECTION 16. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money to the credit of the Capital Expense Fund, and allocated in a manner as determined by the Treasurer's Office, to defray the expenses of the Department of Finance and Administration for the period beginning upon the passage of this act and through June 30, 2017..............
............................................ $ 4,869,045.00.
This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of supporting the operations of the Department of Finance and Administration.
SECTION 17. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated out of any money to the credit of the Department of Finance and Administration, and allocated in a manner as determined by the Treasurer's Office to defray the expenses of the department for the period beginning upon passage and through fiscal year ending June 30, 2017......
............................................ $ 4,068,585.00.
This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of supporting the operations of the Department of Finance and Administration.
SECTION 18. In addition to all other sums herein appropriated, the following sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated out of any money to the credit of the Department of Finance and Administration, and allocated in a manner as determined by the Treasurer’s Office to defray the expenses of the Department of Finance and Administration – Tort Claims Board for the period beginning upon passage and through fiscal year ending June 30, 2017 $ 1,585,056.00.
This additional appropriation is made for the purpose of supporting the operations of the Tort Claims Board."
AMEND FURTHER by deleting Section 15 and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"SECTION 15. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, except for Section 2, Section 3, Section 9, Section 13 and Section 15, which shall take effect and be in force from and after passage of this act and through the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018."
AMEND FURTHER by striking the title in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
"AN ACT MAKING AN ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF GENERAL FUNDS, CAPITAL EXPENSE FUNDS, AND SPECIAL FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE EXPENSES OF THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR-DIVISION OF MEDICAID FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR FISCAL YEARS 2017 AND 2018; THE OFFICE OF THE STATE TREASURER FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE WIRELESS COMMUNICATION COMMISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE BOARD OF TAX APPEALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; ALCORN STATE UNIVERSITY FOR FISCAL YEARS 2017 AND 2018; THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS FOR LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; THE ENGINEERS AND LAND SURVEYORS BOARD FOR FISCAL YEARS 2017 AND 2018; THE JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE COMMISSION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2017; DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR FISCAL YEARS 2017 AND 2018; THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION – TORT CLAIMS BOARD FOR FISCAL YEARS 2017 AND 2018; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES."
