AMENDMENT NO 1 PROPOSED TO

     AMEND after line 16 by inserting the following new subsection and number the preceding paragraph as subsection (1):

(2)  Law enforcement officers shall impound any motor vehicle operating in the State of Mississippi not in compliance with the minimum motor vehicle liability insurance coverage required under Section 63-15-3 (j).  The cost associated with any impoundment shall be paid by the person not in compliance with minimum motor vehicle liability insurance coverage.

     AMEND TITLE to conform.
