AN ACT TO DESIGNATE THAT BRIDGE ON MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 302 THAT SPANS INTERSTATE 55 AS THE "SENATOR GEORGE E. GUERIERI, SR., MEMORIAL BRIDGE"; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) That bridge on Mississippi Highway 302 in DeSoto County that spans Interstate 55 is designated and shall be known as the "Senator George E. Guerieri, Sr., Memorial Bridge."
(2) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate plaques at each end of the bridge described in subsection (1) of this section, and suitable markers along and approaching the bridge, reflecting its name.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2017.
