AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF COAHOMA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO FAMILY AND YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES DIVISION IF SUCH ENTITY MEETS CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Coahoma County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute annually, from the county general fund, such amounts as it considers appropriate to Family and Youth Opportunities Division, a Mississippi nonprofit corporation, if the Family and Youth Opportunities Division has:

          (a)  Maintained its status as a Mississippi nonprofit corporation;

          (b)  Maintained an exemption from federal income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;

          (c)  Has filed federal and state tax returns as required by law; and

          (d)  Provides proof to the board of supervisors of the timely filing of the returns.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
