AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF BENTON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., A COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY; TO PROVIDE THAT THE CONTRIBUTION IS TO BE USED BY THE AGENCY AS MATCHING FUNDS TO RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Benton County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute to Northeast Mississippi Community Services, Inc., a community action agency, a sum in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) to be used as matching funds in order that Northeast Mississippi Community Services, Inc., may receive funds from the state or federal government.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
