AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DESOTO COUNTY TO LOCATE THE OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF OF DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, NOT MORE THAN TWO MILES FROM THE COURTHOUSE OF THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 25-1-99, Mississippi Code of 1972, the Board of Supervisors of DeSoto County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may locate the office of the Sheriff of DeSoto County not more than two (2) miles from the courthouse of the county.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
