AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO BEGIN NOT LATER THAN JULY 1, 2016, CONSTRUCTION TO FIVE LANES FOR HIGHWAY TRAFFIC A CERTAIN PORTION OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 305 IN DESOTO COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. (1) The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall construct to department design standards, perform reconstruction as may be required to existing highways and acquire by gift, purchase or eminent domain proceedings property as may be necessary to provide five (5) lanes for traffic, on and along the following location:
Northern District - DeSoto County:
Mississippi Highway 305 beginning at Church Road and extending southerly to Byhalia Road.
(2) The construction required under subsection (1) of this section shall begin not later than July 1, 2016.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
