AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE WOOD INFESTATION REPORTS REQUIRED OF RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE CLOSINGS TO BE PROVIDED BY THE SELLER, EXCLUDING FORECLOSURE SELLERS, AND BE DULY NOTED ON THE MISSISSIPPI OFFICIAL WOOD DESTROYING INSECT REPORT REQUIRED TO BE FILED BY PEST CONTROL OPERATORS BY THE BUREAU OF PLANT INDUSTRY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The wood infestation reports required of residential and commercial real estate closings shall be provided by the seller of the property, excluding sellers of foreclosures, and be duly noted on the Mississippi Official Wood Destroying Insect Report required by the Bureau of Plant Industry.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2015.
