House Resolution 22

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MID-SOUTH PROJECT PACKAGE FOR THEIR VOLUNTEER WORK IN SENDING CARE PACKAGES TO LOCAL MID-SOUTH SERVICE MEMBERS.

WHEREAS, Mid-South Project Package seeks to lift spirits and meet the evolving needs of our active duty and veteran communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for all Americans to express their appreciation to members of our military; and

WHEREAS, sending care packages to members of our military who are away from home lets them know that their community has not forgotten them and how much we appreciate them; and

WHEREAS, Mid-South Project Package has around 600 service members who receive care packages, and who are extremely overjoyed whenever they receive a package, especially when it has a taste of home; and

WHEREAS, the efforts of Mid-South Project Package are not in vain, as the service members who receive the packages are very deserving of their community's love and affection, and are extraordinarily appreciative of the packages they receive; and

WHEREAS, it is the Policy of the House of Representatives to commend outstanding organizations such as Mid-South Project Package that volunteer their time and energy so that our military members can have a taste of home while they are away defending our state and country:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend the Mid-South Project Package for their volunteer work in sending care packages to local mid-south service members until they all come home.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to the Mid-South Project Package and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
