AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 8 OF HOUSE BILL NO. 1472, 2014 REGULAR SESSION, TO DELETE CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS ON THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS APPROPRIATED FROM THE STATE GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING SALARIES AND TRAVEL EXPENSES OF DISTRICT ATTORNEYS AND ASSISTANT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS AND PAYING OFFICE EXPENSES OF DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2015; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 8 of House Bill No. 1472, 2014 Regular Session, is amended as follows:

     Section 8.  Of the funds provided in Section 1, * * * Two Million Forty Thousand Three Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($2,040,316.00) is provided for implementation of the provisions of HB 1026 and/or SB 2049, 2014 Regular Session.  If HB 1026 and/or SB 2049, 2014 Regular Session are not enacted, One Million Three Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,399,750.00) of these funds shall be transferred by the Department of Finance and Administration to the Department of Health for support of the Mississippi Qualified Health Center/Rural Health Clinic Incubator Grant Program created under the provisions of SB 2117, 2014 Regular Session andthe sum of Six Hundred Forty Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-six Dollars ($640,566.00) * * * of these fundsshall be transferred by the Department of Finance and Administration to the Supreme Court Administrative Office of the Courts for support of the Drug Court program.  * * * If SB 2117, 2014 Regular Session is not enacted, One Million Three Hundred Ninety-nine Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($1,399,750.00) of the funds allocated in this section shall lapse to the General Fund.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2014.
