AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF TUNICA COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRACT WITH AND DONATE FUNDS TO MID-STATE OPPORTUNITY, INCORPORATED; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Tunica County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contract with and/or contribute in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000.00) during fiscal year 2013 and the same amount during fiscal year 2014, to Mid-State Opportunity, Incorporated, for the purposes of providing funds and assistance to the operation of various programs in Tunica, Mississippi, including summer youth programs, an energy assistance program for the elderly, disabled and low income and other services to the needy citizens of the county.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
