AN ACT TO CLARIFY THAT CIVIL RECOVERY OF MEDICAL OR HEALTH CARE EXPENSES IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY OR ON BEHALF OF THE CLAIMANT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. In addition to any other limitations under law regarding "actual economic damages" as defined by Section 11-1-60, recovery of medical or health care expenses incurred is limited to the amount actually paid by or on behalf of the claimant.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2013.
