A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE EAST WEBSTER HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING TEAM AND COACH SHAWNA WILLIAMS FOR WINNING THE 2012-2013 MISSISSIPPI HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION CLASS 1A STATE CHEERLEADING CHAMPIONSHIP.

     WHEREAS, the East Webster High School cheerleaders competed against several other squads in the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) State Cheerleading Championship, and after their superb performance, they captured the Class 1A State Cheerleading Championship; and

     WHEREAS, Coach Shawna Williams guided the girls well to unify all of their strengths to make a good squad and accomplish their goal of winning the championship; and

     WHEREAS, through their superior accomplishments, these Magnolia State student athletes have brought honor to themselves and to East Webster High School; and

     WHEREAS, the members of the East Webster High School Cheerleading Team are:  Ashleigh McClellan, Patience Johnson, Jamie Allen, Lindsey Tidwell, Kylee McMinn, Laura Beth Kolb, Kayla Neal, Raegan Bland, Shelley Edwards, Brittany Bell, Anna Hightower, Maddie Brooks, Kandler Flora, Kelli Ray, Trystun Vickers and Hagen Files; and

     WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend outstanding student athletes such as the East Webster High School Cheerleading Team:

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the East Webster High School Cheerleading Team and Coach Shawna Williams for winning the 2012-2013 MSHAA Class 1A State Cheerleading Championship, and extend best wishes for continued success in all of their future endeavors.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to East Webster High School, Coach Shawna Williams, each team member, and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
