House Resolution 110

(As Adopted by House)

A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE LIFE OF RONNIE JERMAINE WILLIAMS, AND EXPRESSING DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS UPON HIS PASSING.

WHEREAS, "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven," and as such, the grand architect of the universe, the immaculate author and finisher of our soul's destiny, has summoned the mortal presence of dearly beloved, Ronnie Jermaine Williams, to eternal rest, as he has made life's final transition from earthly travailing to heavenly reward, bringing great sorrow and loss to his family, colleagues and friends; and

WHEREAS, with the untimely demise of Ronnie on March 7, 2013, his family lost a cherished family member and valuable keepsake, who was God's gift to his parents, Bobbie Jean Williams and Ronnie Jerome Robinson; and

WHEREAS, born on September 16, 1980, Ronnie was a bundle of joy, whose life was but a glimpse of the hopes that were to be his future, but whose immediate heavenly presence was predestined by God's will; and

WHEREAS, though his tenure on earth was brief, Ronnie's life's light warmed the hearts of his loved ones, as it now illuminates heaven's gardens attended by cherubim and seraphim; and

WHEREAS, driven by the Christian values instilled in him by his parents, Ronnie confessed his hope in Christ early in life at Hall's Chapel Freewill Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor J.W. Walker; and

WHEREAS, a student of faith and of life, Ronnie attended the Clinton public schools through junior high school, where he was an all-around sportsman who participated in basketball, baseball and football; and

WHEREAS, in Ronnie's transfiguration from mortality to immortality, he now awaits in holy anticipation the wondrous event of the bridegroom's return, as it is written in the Book of Revelation 21:1-2 -- "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband."; and

WHEREAS, Jesus spoke and said in Matthew 19:14, "Suffer the little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:  for of such is the kingdom of heaven," the immaculate creator and the three-fold deity now welcome Ronnie to the celestial shores of heaven's grandeur, in the great reunion with his grandmother, Doretha Butler, who preceded him in death; and

WHEREAS, though he has traversed the river of life, the legacy of his memory will continue to refresh the hearts and fond memories of his beloved survivors:  parents, Bobbie Jean Williams and Ronnie Jerome Robinson; daughter, Asi'treria Evans; special friend, Erica Evans; siblings, Laqunda Nicole Nichols and Ashley Danielle Stewart; godsister, Latoya Cotton; grandmother, Mae Ruth Williams; grandfather, Emanuel Kyles; great-grandmother, Sammie Collins; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to acknowledge the spirit of joy which accompanied Ronnie's birth, which shall also continue to be cherished as an indelible memory in the hearts of his parents, siblings and other family members:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend the life of Ronnie Jermaine Williams and extend sincere and deepest sympathy to his family and friends upon his passing.
