Senate Bill 2782

AN ACT TO REQUIRE THAT ANY PERSON ENGAGED IN THE DISTRIBUTION OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS AS AT RETAIL TO PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE PUMP WITH NO ETHANOL ADDED TO THE LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) Any person who is engaged in the distribution of liquefied petroleum gas at retail shall provide at least one (1) pump with liquefied petroleum gas containing no ethanol additive.

(2) The Department of Agriculture and Commerce shall enforce compliance of this requirement. Any person who fails to meet this requirement shall be subject to the penalties for misrepresentation of petroleum products under Section 75-55-21.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2012.
