Senate Bill 2475

AN ACT TO REQUIRE THE SECRETARY OF STATE TO CONVEY AND TRANSFER CERTAIN STATE-OWNED PROPERTY IN JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO THE TOWN OF PRENTISS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. (1) The Secretary of State is hereby directed to convey and transfer to the Town of Prentiss certain state-owned real property, and any buildings and improvements thereon, located in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi, more particularly described as follows:

Begin at the point where the present U.S. Highway

No. 84 intersects the Western boundary line of the

NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 11, Township 7 North,

Range 19 West, and run thence in an Easterly direction

along said present U.S. Highway No. 84 a distance of

300 feet, thence run South to the old Prentiss and

Monticello gravel road, thence run in a South-westerly

direction along said old Prentiss and Monticello gravel

road to the Western boundary line of the said NW 1/4 of

SE 1/4, thence run North to the point of beginning, all

of said land being in the NW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 11,

Township 7 North, Range 19 West.

(2) Such real property, buildings and improvements shall be donated to the Town of Prentiss for the use and occupancy of the Town of Prentiss.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
