AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF DESOTO COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE HERNANDO CIVIC CENTER AND HERNANDO YOUTH SPORTS THROUGH CALENDAR YEAR 2016 SO LONG AS THE DONATED FUNDS ARE TO BE UTILIZED TO OPERATE, MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE OR MANAGE THE HERNANDO CIVIC CENTER AS A PUBLIC PARK; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:
SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of DeSoto County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute to the Hernando Civic Center Association and Hernando Youth Sports, from any available funds, such amounts as it deems appropriate, but not to exceed in the aggregate more than Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) annually through calendar year 2016, so long as the donated funds are utilized to operate, maintain and improve or manage the Hernando Civic Center as a public park.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
