AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF ITTA BENA, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS TO THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY MASS TRANSIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION TO ITS ELDERLY AND DISABLED CITIZENS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  The governing authorities of the City of Itta Bena, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute annually, out of any available funds of the city, an amount not to exceed Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) to the Mississippi Valley State University Mass Transit, for the purpose of providing transportation to the city's elderly and disabled citizens.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2016.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
