A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING SARAH JAYDE BOBO UPON HER SELECTION AS "MISS MISSISSIPPI TEEN USA 2011."

WHEREAS, Sarah Jayde Bobo, a graduate of Kossuth High School, was crowned "Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2011" on November 6, 2010, at Harrah's Event Center in Tunica, Mississippi. She was crowned by Haley Brooke Sowers, Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2010; and

WHEREAS, Sarah Bobo will represent Mississippi at the Miss Teen USA 2011 pageant on July 16, 2011, on Paradise Island Bahamas at the Atlantis Resort; and

WHEREAS, Sarah and her family live in Corinth, Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, while Sarah attended Kossuth High School (KHS), she was a member of the National Honor Society and a Who's Who Among American High School Students. She was also Miss KHS, KHS Homecoming Princess and Secretary of the senior class; and

WHEREAS, Sarah attends Northeast Mississippi Community College (NEMCC) where she is a Business Administration major, member of the Student Government Association (SGA) at NEMCC, NEMCC Tiger Dancer, and NEMCC Freshman Homecoming Maid; and

WHEREAS, as her pageant theme, Sarah promotes abstinence and self-esteem with teens in Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, it is with great pride that we salute this beautiful representative of the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby congratulate Sarah Jayde Bobo, a graduate of Kossuth High School, upon her selection as "Miss Mississippi Teen USA 2011," and extend our best wishes to Sarah and her family as she competes for Miss Teen USA.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Sarah and her family, and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
