AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 1, CHAPTER 915, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2005, AS AMENDED BY SECTION 1, CHAPTER 930, LAWS OF 2008, TO EXTEND THE REPEAL DATE ON THE PROVISION THAT AUTHORIZES THE BOARDS OF SUPERVISORS OF PRENTISS, ALCORN, BENTON, MARSHALL, TIPPAH AND TISHOMINGO COUNTIES TO CONTRIBUTE TO NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI COMMUNITY SERVICES, INC., IN AN AMOUNT DETERMINED BY EACH INDIVIDUAL BOARD NOT TO EXCEED $150,000.00 TO BE USED AS MATCHING FUNDS FROM THE STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Section 1, Chapter 915, Local and Private Laws of 2005, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 930, Laws of 2008, is amended as follows:

     Section 1.  (1)  The Boards of Supervisors of Prentiss, Alcorn, Benton, Marshall, Tippah and Tishomingo Counties, Mississippi, are authorized and empowered, in their discretion, to contribute to Northeast Mississippi Community Services, Inc., a community action agency, a sum in an amount determined by each individual board provided that the amount does not exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) from each individual board to be used as matching funds in order that Northeast Mississippi Community Services, Inc., may receive funds from the state or federal government.

     (2)  The provisions of this section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2015.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
