House Concurrent Resolution 60

A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE OCEAN SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL GREYHOUNDS BOYS SOCCER TEAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING 2010-2011 SEASON AND FOR WINNING THE CLASS 6A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, the Ocean Springs High School Greyhounds Boys Soccer Team finished the 2010-2011 season with an outstanding record; and

WHEREAS, the Greyhounds did very well in the state playoffs this year, winning the Class 6A State Championship; and

WHEREAS, the Greyhounds 2010-2011 boys soccer team is comprised of the following members: Michael Archbold, Sean Bartosik, Jordan Baacke, Matt Brouckaert, Justin Broussard, Tony Chape1, Jimmy Courville, Andrew Del Castillo, Austin Freeman, Skyler Flowers, Chance Garner, Brennan Georges, Chino Gonzalez, Ryan Harvey, Cullen Hawkins, Logan Hill, Jacob Hoerner, Dakota Hunt, Ryan Lammers, Gerrad McLaurin, Kyle Parton, Justin Paul, Kevin Quist, Logan Seymour, TJ Sharp, Taegen Stephens, Eddie Szigeti, Logan Tassin, Gabe Tay1or, Ducky Troutman, Eli Troutman, Jack Wilson and Austin Zamarippa; and

WHEREAS, the Greyhounds have been superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach Jeff French and Assistant Coaches Bradley Odom, Jay Medina and Arthur Carlisle, who have broadened the Greyhounds' knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution; and

WHEREAS, the Greyhounds have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and high degree of sportsmanship, and their activities and attitude reflect great credit upon the individual players and their coaches and bring honor to Ocean Springs High School; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate the Ocean Springs High School Greyhounds Boys Soccer Team and their coaches, Head Coach Jeff French and Assistant Coaches Bradley Odom, Jay Medina and Arthur Carlisle, for their outstanding 2010-2011 season, for winning the Class 6A State Championship and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Ocean Springs High School, Head Coach Jeff French and Assistant Coaches Bradley Odom, Jay Medina and Arthur Carlisle and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
